FOS Organizational Overview (Mission & Vision)
F.O.C.U.S on Seniors is a non-profit/Volunteer driven organization. This grassroots initiative started in January 2007 supporting older adults (50plus) in North East Calgary. It was registered as a society and incorporated in July 2011.

Vision: Older adults and seniors live active and enriched lives and are contributing members of the community.
1) To inspire, support and integrate older adults and seniors by engaging them holistically, social, educational, recreational and cross cultural activities that enrich their mind, body and spirit.
2) To be an advocate for older adult and senior causes and concerns
Friendships - Fostering Friendships as programs are created and developed to promote social connections in group settings which are interest based at accessible venues.
Opportunities –for personal growth are encouraged through sharing of personal knowledge, skills and developing leadership potentials.
Community involvement – participants are empowered and engaged to offer voluntary service at cross cultural community events and celebrations while exercising personal leadership skills
Unity – Embracing diversity and including all age groups we strive to integrate universal values of respect, generosity and integrity.
Community wellness is a key component to ensuring healthy citizenship
Synergy – Collaborative and supportive partnerships are essential in achieving common goals in honoring and fulfilling our seniors’ needs.
