Mumtaz is the Past Chair for Calgary Learns, having served as its Director, Vice Chair and President for the past few years. She comes from the world of community and customer service, training and leadership.
Committed to lifelong learning, Mumtaz highly values pluralism and good governance as organizational strengths. She is currently an Education Analyst with the City of Calgary, engaging in innovative and creative ways of taking knowledge to new levels. She is also a Director on the Community Learning Network’s Board, as well as a member of the Canadian Society for Training & Development.
Mumtaz is a bigpicture, systems thinker who understands that intuitive change and growth happens at the boundaries between diverse environments, and applies both global and local perspectives in decision making. Mumtaz can been described as a team player whose 'servant leadership' approach is contagious.
